PixelLux specialises in creating high quality, ambitious pantomimes that draw on the latest technologies to enhance traditional panto design. Working alongside Imagine Theatre, we have created a suite of digital pantomimes including Cinderella, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. Presented within a traditional panto set, we have created magical 3D world's that transport the audience throughout the story. Taking stage pictures from village squares, to misty mountains, spooky caves, and even the odd lair. In creating these stage pictures the team have drawn on a number of softwares and techniques, including 3D world creation, notch, pre-filmed material and 2D animation. In the original iteration of Aladdin we also presented a motion-captured genie.
In the Pantomime Awards 2023, Nina Dunn and Matt Brown, alognside Set Designer Mark Walters, won the Best Set Design for their work on Beauty and the Beast at Swansea Grand Theatre.
